Good enough
at last…

Relief from Anxious Perfectionism & Chronic Guilt

Anxiety can be unbearable.
Perfectionism makes it so much worse.

Shame, self-criticism, and perpetual guilt: these are signs of anxious perfectionism. You want to be a good person, but it never seems to be enough. It's exhausting, but you don't know how to relax and you probably don't sleep so well.

Anxious perfectionists suffer from severe procrastination, indecision, and difficulty with boundaries & people-pleasing. There’s impact on the body, too: panic attacks, muscle tension, or maybe hair-pulling and skin-picking.

Maybe you're first-generation, or the sibling who had to keep it together. Or a grown-up "gifted and talented" kid. Maybe you don’t identify as a perfectionist, but you’re stuck on the self-improvement treadmill and feel like you’re always falling short.

You may be wondering: “I don’t have my sh*t together. Can I really call myself a perfectionist?” Does “getting in trouble” send you spiraling? Do you freeze up when you make decisions because you have to pick the “right” choice, and you feel guilty if you change your mind? Do you over-apologize, or squirm when you get a compliment?

Perfectionists aren’t people who get all A’s in life and organize their bookshelf by color. Perfectionists are people who strive daily to be “good enough” and then punish themselves for never getting there. I believe that due to the natural development of the human brain and the influence of modern culture, just about all of us struggle with pathological perfectionism. And it’s making us miserable.

Perfectionists don't do things perfectly—they feel like they always have to do better.

It’s time to stop waiting to be good enough for happiness.
