Payment & Fees

As I work across three different states, my fees and payment processes can be variable. However, my fees will always be comparable to other therapists in your area.

I have some sliding scale slots available to accommodate low-income clients, depending on availability. Everyone deserves access to mental health care. Therapy is an investment, and I would be happy to discuss how to make it accessible for you — contact me.

I accept all major credit cards and Health Savings Accounts.

  • I am out-of-network with all insurance providers. Most PPO plans offer out-of-network benefits that can help cover the cost of therapy (HMO plans do not). For California clients, I can submit super-bills directly to your insurance provider on your behalf, and they will reimburse you directly. For Ohio and Utah clients, you will submit the super-bills to your providers. If you have a plan with out-of-network coverage, these super-bills will count toward your annual deductible.

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, if your health insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for our sessions.

    How It Works:

    1. You pay for sessions upfront – I provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company.

    2. Your insurance may reimburse you for a percentage of the session cost, depending on your plan.

    3. Reimbursement goes directly to you – I do not interact with insurance companies on your behalf.

What to Ask Your Insurance Provider:

If you’d like to use your out-of-network benefits, call your insurance company and ask the following:

    • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

    • What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?

    • What is my deductible for out-of-network services, and has any of it been met?

    • Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered per year?

    • Do I need pre-authorization or a referral for out-of-network therapy?

    • How do I submit a claim for reimbursement?

Many clients find that even if their insurance reimburses only a portion of the cost, out-of-network care gives them the flexibility to choose the right therapist without being limited by insurance networks.

If you have any questions about how this process works, I’m happy to help you navigate it.
